What does the flag stand for?

Our flag’s rainbow of colors symbolizes all of humanity: every Culture, Race, Spirituality, Gender, Sexuality, Age, and Ability. The flag design has evolved in the name of equity and racial justice, with black lettering and new hues, all colors standing side by side, no one more important than another. This flag sends a message of love and compassion that often goes unseen. It can help an individual who feels hopelessly alone, and generations of people who feel helplessly unconnected and marginalized. While it reads PEACE, it represents our fight against bias, prejudice, and injustice. PEACE is what we fight for—a future as one consciously interconnected global community.

How can I get a flag?

We are running low on flags and have given away almost all of the 50,000 flags that we have. If there are still flags remaining, you can visit the Get A Flag page for details on finding a pick up site near you (which reduces our impact on the environment!), or ordering and having a flag shipped, if that is still an option. 

Can you tell me more about how the flag is made?

The PEACE Flag is 3’ x 5’ with two metal grommets. It is made of storm fabric and is silk-screened vs printed, so it will last up to 4x longer than most outdoor flags. It is indeed weather-resistant and can fly in all four seasons, plus any social or political climate! We package the flag with a paper band, no unnecessary plastics.

Are flags free?

We distributed thousands of free flags when we initially got started in 2016. Then, we called ourselves the Peace Flag Project! A few years later, our mission evolved and we grew into the PEACE Flag Movement. Through the years, we gave away flags, and relied entirely on donations to sustain and grow the work of the PEACE Flag Movement - to reach more communities, educate a new generation, influence more leaders, and inspire more people to open their hearts & minds.

How long will it take my flag to arrive?

We are winding down (and so are our volunteers and interns). If flags are still available it could take a few weeks for us to get back to you. We are trying to get whatever flags are still available for pick up in your local area or whatever we have left for shipping, to get out to everyone who is hoping to get one.

What if I live outside of the US?

We'd love for you to join us to unite the world in the fight for equity and justice for all people and to become a PEACE Flag Movement team member. If you would like us to send you a flag or flags, we ask that you cover the international shipping costs.

How can I get involved?

As we wind down, we encourage you to get involved and get active wherever and however you can. Whether you get involved locally, attend peaceful protests, get involved with local politics, call your local and state representatives, donate to organizations, make food for those at the front lines, volunteer for your local food pantry, glean during the harvesting months to help with food insecurity, encourage your friends and family to get active or any combination of these things, your actions will work toward change. Change cannot happen without you. The more of us stepping in to make active change, the closer we will get to making change.
